Sister/Charge Nurse - ED
Charge Nurse/Sister Division: Emergency Department
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Charge Nurse/Sister (CN/SR) to support the Senior Clinical & Nursing Team within our Emergency Department (ED).
This role requires a strong understanding of local and national emergency care initiatives, ensuring alignment with New Emergency Care Standards. As part of your responsibilities, you will contribute to our commitment to delivering compassionate, safe, and effective care to our community.
Key Responsibilities
The Charge Nurse/Sister will:
- Provide clinical leadership, support, and supervision across the ED.
- Oversee the Resuscitation area, including:
- Initial patient assessment
- Advanced life support protocols
- Continuous patient monitoring
- Formulation of individual care plans
- Ensure compliance with emergency care standards and service enhancements.

Requirements & Qualifications
Successful candidates will have:
- Demonstrated experience as a Band 5 Emergency Nurse (within ED, or equivalent pre-hospital care), with a proven track record of clinical competence.
- A reputation for delivering consistently high standards of patient care.
- Commitment to continuing professional development within Emergency Care.
- A keen interest in progressing their career in this field.
