Site Account Manager – Contract Cleaning

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Working Hours:
Monday–Friday | 8:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–5:00pm

The Opportunity

As Site Account Manager, you will lead the delivery of all contracted cleaning and soft services, ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, team engagement, and continuous improvement.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, property management teams, and occupiers to create an outstanding workplace experience while driving innovation, sustainability, and commercial performance.

This role is ideal for an ambitious leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building high-performing teams that consistently exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Lead all contracted soft services to consistently exceed KPIs and service level agreements.
  • Deliver exceptional standards across cleaning operations, including horizontal and vertical cleaning activities and window cleaning programmes.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews focused on performance, innovation, customer satisfaction, ESG objectives, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement a strategic annual plan aligned to client and business objectives.
  • Prepare operational reports, presentations, estimates, and proposals for both internal and client stakeholders.

People Leadership & Culture

  • Recruit, develop, coach, and inspire a diverse team of cleaning and support service professionals.
  • Conduct inductions, probation reviews, performance appraisals, and development plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, recognition, engagement, and continuous learning.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build trusted relationships with clients, occupiers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Partner closely with Property Managers and Estate Management teams to enhance the occupier experience.
  • Act as the primary operational contact, ensuring clear communication and outstanding customer service at all times.

Sustainability & ESG

  • Champion environmental and social initiatives across the contract.
  • Support ESG projects that improve sustainability, efficiency, and responsible business practices.
  • Encourage innovative approaches that reduce environmental impact and enhance workplace wellbeing.

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Manage budgets effectively while achieving agreed profitability targets.
  • Control labour, consumables, machinery, and operational expenditure.
  • Identify efficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable savings and enhanced performance.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • Proven experience managing cleaning or soft services operations within a prestigious commercial, corporate, or mixed-use environment.
  • Experience overseeing both horizontal and vertical cleaning operations, including window cleaning activities is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing engaged, high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and driving efficiencies.
  • A proactive approach to Health & Safety, with IOSH Managing Safely desirable.
  • Excellent organisational, IT and time-management skills.
