About The Role

As Site Agent in Devon, you will oversee daily civil engineering project delivery, ensuring works finish safely, on schedule, and within budget for a leading contractor. This full-time role offers a salary of £52,000–£57,000 plus car allowance and benefits. A leading civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Agent to join its growing infrastructure team, delivering a long-term programme of civil engineering projects across North Devon.

The Role

As Site Agent, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects from start to finish, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of civil engineering projects.
  • Lead and motivate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
  • Monitor programme performance and resource requirements.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and the wider project team.

To be considered, you'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Site Agent or an experienced Sub Agent ready to step up.
  • A strong background delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience within water, highways, utilities or heavy civils would be advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
