Are you a Site Agent looking to take a leading role on a major infrastructure project in Cumbria?
This is an excellent opportunity for a delivery-focused Site Agent to join a complex self-delivery scheme with a contractor that genuinely values technical capability, ownership, and high-quality delivery.
A leading UK civil engineering contractor is seeking a Site Agent with a strong self-delivery background to help drive a major programme of works. The business is known for delivering complex infrastructure projects through its own directly employed workforce, backed by strong engineering capability, disciplined planning, and a culture built around accountability and delivery. They are growing fast, securing long-term frameworks and high-value civil engineering packages across infrastructure, energy, highways, water, and T&D. They invest heavily in their people, promote from within, and give Site Agents real authority to influence delivery rather than simply supervise it. This role suits someone who thrives in a hands-on contracting environment, understands the realities of site execution, and brings structure, pace, and clarity to multidisciplinary teams.
As Site Agent, you will be a key driver of day-to-day delivery, ensuring works are planned, coordinated, and executed safely, efficiently, and to specification. Working closely with engineers, planners, commercial teams, and site delivery leads, you'll maintain programme alignment, manage change on the ground, and ensure the project progresses in line with cost, time, and quality expectations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
