Site Agent
Site Agent – Southern Water Team (South East)
Join our Southern Water team with Kier, one of the UK’s leading construction and civil engineering businesses, as a Site Agent and help deliver £3.1bn of Strategic Development Partnership Framework (SDPF) projects.
Location: South East – Remote working available, with occasional office-based travel required. Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) – flexible hours possible pending discussion.

About the Role
As a Site Agent in our Southern Water team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring high-quality water and wastewater infrastructure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll manage construction sites across millions of homes in the South East, contributing to water safety, quality, and resilience.

Responsibilities
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Overseeing construction activities – Ensuring work is completed to the highest safety, schedule, and budget standards
- Managing site resources – Coordinating labour, materials, and equipment, while monitoring monthly costs
- Ensuring compliance & safety – Adherence to all health and safety regulations, regular site inspections
- Stakeholder coordination – Working closely with clients, consultants, and local authorities
- Recording & documentation – Maintaining detailed progress reports, risk assessments, and safety files
Requirements
Ideal candidates will have:
- Construction industry experience – Preferably as a Site Agent or similar
- Technical competency – Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Leadership & management – Strong team leadership skills to manage subcontractors and on-site staff
- Safety expertise – Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Travel readiness – Full UK driving licence required (essential for site visits)
