We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Site Agent to join our team on the SSEN Framework, supporting delivery of the £120m Loch na Cathrach Energy Connection. This will initially see you work through the ECI stage for SSEN's works for substation upgrades and Under Ground cable installation in the north of Scotland.
Role Responsibilities
- Report to the Project Manager for key work areas.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the construction site to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Maintain high standards of quality across all construction activities.
- Monitor and manage environmental impact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Control project costs and ensure budget adherence.
- Collaborate effectively with a high-performing and supportive team.
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- Ideally Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Demonstrate ambition and drive in tackling complex engineering challenges.
- Previous experience working on similar infrastructure or civil engineering schemes at Agent or Sub Agent level.
- Background in managing construction projects from planning through to delivery.
- Strong project management capabilities
- Commercial awareness and cost control proficiency
- Effective team coordination and planning skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Thorough understanding of health & safety compliance
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes
- Clear and confident communication skills

We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
