Job Description
The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design, and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water’s region. The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure.
The role will be site-based around the Lincolnshire/Norfolk area.

Responsibilities
- Communicate with Key Alliance partners and subcontractors
- Organise and manage the systems of work for your allocated discipline including management of the relevant supply chain.
- Develop programmes and forecast budgets with the Senior Agent, derive simple indices to assess actual programme and productivity achieved and prepare reports for weekly and monthly reviews.
- Be fully conversant with supply chain contract conditions and responsibilities, manage their works and account measurement with the commercial team.
- Requisitioning resources in a timely manner to ensure that they are correctly specified and readily available so as not to impede the construction programme.
- Reconciliation of planned versus actual resources for compilation of weekly reports and the control and ordering of resources.
- Complete inspection and test plans, risk assessments, and method statements for the control of the works ensuring that all necessary documentation is produced in a timely manner.
- Be fully responsible for the overall quality management and assurance of the project, including handover to the client.
- Communicate to the QA any non-conformances.
- Work closely with the QS and Commercial Team to ensure all change, early warnings, and issues are captured and communicated in a timely manner. Identify key risks and opportunities. Formulate recovery strategies where possible.
- Manage the budget which includes the production of regular Bottom-Up Forecasts as well as change items.
- Provide leadership in safety, health, and wellbeing across all responsible works.
- Manage, supervise, and mentor site and assistant engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and appropriate records.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

- Other relevant training (preferred includes Appointed Person, relevant lifting training, and temporary works coordination)
- Understanding of Engineering Principles and extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
- Knowledge of construction contract law and forms of contract through formal training.
- Successful experience at Senior Engineer / Agent level.
- Effective communication skills for interface with members of the public and other stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience of working on Anglian Water projects in Civils, MEP, MEICA, or Testing & Commissioning.
- Experience of Major Projects and working within mixed organisation teams.
Qualifications
- Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng).
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
- Relevant CSCS Card.
- CPCS Lifting Appointed Person.
- Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system, Primavera software).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
