We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of Capital Delivery projects across Gas Distribution Networks throughout the UK.
This role will primarily focus on gas offtake projects and associated infrastructure upgrades, working alongside major gas network operators and stakeholders. You will play a key role in safely delivering technically challenging projects while maintaining high standards of compliance, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations on gas infrastructure and capital delivery projects
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications
- Oversee subcontractors, direct labour, and specialist contractors on site
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, permit systems, and client procedures
- Coordinate works on live gas infrastructure sites including AGIs, PRIs, and offtake installations
- Monitor project progress against programme and report updates to senior management
- Manage health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all activities
- Liaise directly with clients, engineers, suppliers, and operational teams
- Support planning and coordination of temporary works, excavations, reinstatement, and mechanical installations
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
- Ensure all documentation and site records are maintained accurately
- Travel to project sites across the UK with occasional working away where required
What You’ll Need
Essential Qualifications & Experience

- SCO 1, 2 & 4 on the Cadent Network or working towards under mentorship
- Experience managing live gas infrastructure works (IP-HP)
- Proven experience managing gas infrastructure or utilities projects
- Previous experience working on Gas Distribution Network projects
- Strong understanding of gas capital delivery works
- SHEA Gas
- SMSTS
- Temporary Works Supervisor
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good understanding of CDM Regulations and temporary works procedures
Desirable Qualifications
- Confined Space Training
- First Aid at Work
- Excavation Safety / Deep Excavation Training
- CPCS or NPORS Plant Tickets
- NRSWA Supervisor
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications
