Site Agent – Asset Delivery Partner for Scottish Water’s SR27 Programme

The Programme
As part of Scottish Water’s SR27 Investment Programme (targeting £9bn in infrastructure spending between 2027–2033), Mott MacDonald Bentley is delivering projects to modernise water and wastewater assets across Scotland. Key objectives include:
- Improving treatment asset performance and reliability
- Enhancing energy resilience and efficiency

About the Role
As a Site Agent, you will collaborate closely with Mott MacDonald Bentley’s operational teams to oversee boots-on-the-ground execution of projects that shape Scotland’s environmental and public service infrastructure. This entails:
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in tendering and design stages, ensuring project viability and efficiency
- Direct construction activities, including operations, procedures, and logistical coordination
- Deliver cost-, schedule- and quality-targeted progress through clear stakeholder leadership
- Facilitate subcontractor logistics (including procurement) while maintaining compliance with procurement protocols
- Manage safety reporting, H&S standards, and on-site documentation
- Evaluate project progress and communicate effectively with key stakeholders, addressing setbacks or concerns
- Oversight of temporary works installations to ensure compliance with design and regulatory specifications
- Support the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, including flood defences, waste treatment, and nature-based solutions

Who You Are
We are looking for an experienced professional with a courageous problem-solving mindset and strong operational expertise, success factors include:
Essential Experience & Skills
- Hold current CSCS, SSSTS/ SMSTS qualification
- Valid HNC, Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- Core knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively within teams and with external stakeholders
- Willingness to travel extensively across Scotland to project sites
- Hold a valid driving licence (preferably up-to-since millions+ for field work)
