Site Associate - Manchester
Site Associate Location: Manchester, M5 Working Pattern: 20 hours per week | Shift-based hours: 9:00 AM – 4:30 AM | Pay: £13.25/hour (+20% uplift for post-10:00 PM shifts)
About the Role
Join us in transforming delivery and grocery services while driving innovation, growth, and operational excellence with our Site Operations team, behind HOP (rapid grocery) and Editions—our network of delivery-only kitchens. If you thrive in hands-on environments and want to redefine how food reaches customers, join us on the ground.
We’re recruiting a Site Associate for our Manchester team. Your role? Ensuring a high-performance site ecosystem for restaurant partners and seamless order movement from kitchens to riders.
Who We Are
Editions pioneers "dark kitchens" by partnering with brands like Wagamama and Starbucks, connecting them with customers via delivery-only hubs.
What You’ll Do Daily
As a key player in the Editions team, expect a mix of:
- Maintaining Site Excellence: Deep cleaning equipment, food prep areas, and communal spaces to uphold health and safety standards.
- Dispatch Operations: Managing food flows from kitchens to dispatch and coordinating with riders for speedy, efficient deliveries.
- Restaurant Partner Support: Handling "pot washing," sanitizing equipment, and keeping kitchens operational for brands.
- Operational Safety: Regular sitechecks with management to address safety/cleanliness gaps.
- Problem Solving: Spotting inefficiencies (e.g., supply delays or packer breakdowns) and proposing workable solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
