Job Opportunity: Site Chemist

Location: Maidstone

Salary: £35,000 + Bonus

Are you a qualified chemist with a passion for sustainability and environmental impact? Do you have experience working in a site-based role within the recycling industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are currently representing a leading recycling company looking for a dedicated and qualified Site Chemist. This role offers the chance to contribute to a greener future while advancing your career in a dynamic industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct chemical analysis on incoming waste materials to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and manage the chemical processes at the site to guarantee safety and efficiency.
  • Perform regular testing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including ensuring correct treatment and disposal.
  • Maintain accurate records of chemical analyses and site activities.
  • Ensure that all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies are strictly adhered to.
  • Provide technical guidance on chemical processes to the operations team.

Key Requirements

  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the recycling or waste management industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to waste management.
