Job Description: Civil Site Engineer
Location: Scotland
Salary: Competitive plus benefits
On behalf of my client, I am recruiting for a Civils Site Engineer to work on ongoing projects on marine and flood protection schemes ranging from £10M-£50M.
The successful candidate will report to the Project Manager and be an integral part of the management team working on the delivery of our projects throughout the UK. They will have a wide and varied remit making full use of their experience and skills as a Site Engineer. This role will be wide-ranging and varied with the opportunity to gain valuable experience and grow within the department.

- Provision of setting out and dimensional checking of the works using total stations / robotics and levelling equipment
- Maintaining as built drawings of the works as the project build progresses
- Ensure subcontractors, designers, clients, staff and visitors are inducted and approved risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are in place
- Build strong relationships with management and supply chain
- Record, submit and monitor Non-conformance Reports (NCR) and maintain the NCR register
- Ensure drawings, specifications and other contract documents are kept up to date
- With the assistance of the site agent, develop short term look ahead programmes in collaboration with the supply chain
- Produce weekly / monthly progress reports, as appropriate
- Working with our commercial teams, ensure accurate daily records are maintained and communicated for labour, materials and plant, including Sub-contractors

Qualifications
Essential
- BA (Hons) in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Experience
- Excellent technical knowledge of Civil Engineering and best practices
- Proven experience in a Site Engineer role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is desirable
- Excellent communication & IT skills
- The successful candidate will hold a full driving licence and be willing to travel and work throughout the UK.
