Site Setting Out Engineer

Due to planned growth, we are recruiting an ambitious Site Setting Out Engineer to join our existing project team onsite in Horsham. You will be joining a successful and developing site team on the new phase of long-term works. You will be an experienced setting out engineer with site-based experience with exposure to varied civil engineering projects. Natta can provide training and educational support as well as a clear career progression for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • To design and maintain site’s primary control network
  • To deliver procure and deliver setting out information on site / undertake surveys
  • To ensure that works are to a high standard, to reduce snags and to further the opportunity of repeat work from clients.
  • To manage site staff and provide technical advice/assistance where required
  • Maintain Natta safety standards
  • Basic Site management including client interaction
  • Attend site meetings and report on progress
  • Liaising with the project manager on any other issues

Requirements

  • Civil engineering degree (ideally) or HND/HNC Qualification or Equivalent
  • Surveying or engineering background and experience
  • Proficient in Auto CAD 2D, Microsoft Office, Leica total stations (1-man kit) and GNSS equipment, Levelling equipment
  • Ideally, but not essential - experience working with the latest Trimble GPS modelling for excavators
  • CSCS card – SMSTS/SSSTS – First Aid - (ideal but not essential – TWS/TWC, CSCS Gold and above, confined spaces,)
  • Full UK driving licence – essential
  • Right to work in the UK - all documents will be checked
