Job Title: Site Document Controller

Location: Necton, Norfolk

Contract length: 12 months rolling contract


Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is currently recruiting for a Site Document Controller to join a world leader offering Products, Solutions, and Services across the entire Energy value chain on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organization. You will play a key role in supporting Manufacturing Operations. You will shape a competitive, sustainable supply chain, partnering globally to drive productivity, quality, and digitalization.


Role Overview

The Document Controller serves as the administrative gatekeeper for project information, responsible for managing contract deliverables through digital document management systems across the entire project lifecycle. Reporting to the Document Control Manager, the role focuses on assigning document numbers, running quality assurance checks, and coordinating review workflows between internal teams, suppliers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and track contract deliverables throughout the entire project lifecycle using digital document management tools.
  • Allocate official document numbers and create system placeholders to keep files organized and traceable.
  • Execute QA checks on all project deliverables to ensure they meet required standards before progression.
  • Manage review workflows within strict project timescales, distributing comments between clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Establish and configure supplier packages within the system.
  • Manage the formal submission of "As-Built" documents and handle hard copy submissions directly to the project site.
  • Interact regularly with the wider project team and support the broader Document Control team to drive continuous improvements.

Essential Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of direct document control experience working on projects.
  • 2+ years of experience working specifically with digital document management systems (such as Microsoft Office, ACC, Aconex, EDMS, or SharePoint).
  • Naturally quality-aware, ensuring all files and formatting meet project standards.
  • Fully eligible to work in the UK.
  • Based in the specific project location.
  • A valid driving license is required, as traveling to the site is difficult using public transport.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • Prior formal training in Document or Configuration Control.
  • A good standard of overall education.
  • An Engineering or Project Management Degree, or an equivalent professional qualification.
