As we continue to invest in our people, technology and network, there's never been a more exciting time to join Gist and help shape the future of food logistics.
At Gist, we're building one of our newest distribution centres in partnership with M&S, and we're looking for skilled engineers to help bring it to life.
From day one, you'll play a vital role in keeping our operation running safely and efficiently, maintaining the facilities, infrastructure and engineering assets that support a fast-paced logistics environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new site where you'll help establish engineering standards, work with modern equipment and become part of the team that keeps the operation moving.
About The Role
As a Site Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across the site, ensuring our facilities and equipment remain safe, compliant and operational.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
