Site Engineer (Temporary) - Bridgewater, Somerset
Reporting To: Site Engineering Manager Hours of Work: 50-hour working week (10 hours per day)

Survey Solutions is a leading engineering surveyor specialising in land, measured building and underground utility surveys as well as monitoring and site engineering schemes. We operate a network of nine offices across the UK, delivering expertise on some of the UK’s most significant construction and infrastructure developments.

- Proficiency in StarNet Software and experience working with Site Controls (100% essential)
Role Overview
As a Site Engineer, you’ll join our team at Hinkley Point C, working collaboratively with Survey Solutions employees.
This role is inherently varied and will involve:
- Setting out (internal walls, grid lines, datums)
- Conducting as-built surveys, cross-referenced against proposed drawings
- Installing and maintaining secondary site control networks
- Working with site plans, drawings, and Building Information Models (BIM)
- Engaging in technical issue resolution and quality control, along with health and safety oversight

You’ll be onsite, with accommodation provided for non-locals during the project duration.
Main Duties/Key Responsibilities:
✅ Setting out internal walls, grid lines, and datums ✅ Performing as-built surveys, referencing back to proposed plans and drawings ✅ Installing, maintaining, and managing secondary site control networks ✅ Collaborating with designers and engineers to ensure accuracy in drawings and plans ✅ Overseeing quality control, executing as-built drawings and daily timely monitoring ✅ Health and safety responsibilities: Mandatory adherence to workplace and client site safety standards ✅ Maintaining detailed site diaries for job records ✅ Troubleshooting technical problems on the fly and escalating if required
