Site Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our team on a landmark infrastructure programme in the South West. As a key delivery partner on this nationally significant project, you'll play a vital role in ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to develop their technical and leadership skills while working within a collaborative project environment alongside industry experts.
The Role
As a Site Engineer, you will act as a key liaison within the Site Management Authorisation Team, supporting the safe and compliant delivery of construction activities. You will work closely with Construction Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure works are delivered in accordance with project requirements, health and safety legislation, and quality standards.
You'll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site activities, coordinating stakeholders, maintaining project records, and helping to identify and resolve technical challenges to keep the project progressing successfully.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and project requirements.
- Work closely with site management teams to coordinate construction activities and support project delivery.
- Monitor compliance with Safe Systems of Work, RAMS, permits, and site governance arrangements.
- Support and promote a positive safety culture across all site activities.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities and assist with site coordination and progress meetings.
- Review drawings and raise Technical Queries (TQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required.
- Maintain accurate site records, surveys, daily diaries, progress reports, and photographic evidence.
- Assist with programme planning, risk management, scheduling, and project handover documentation.
About You
We're looking for a motivated and driven engineer with a passion for construction, safety, and project delivery.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 0–2+ years' experience in a Site Engineering or construction-based role.
- Knowledge of construction techniques and industry best practice.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using CAD software and document management systems.

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with BIM and digital engineering platforms such as Autodesk or Bentley.
- Familiarity with planning software such as Primavera P6 or Aphex.
- Understanding of CDM regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and regulated environments.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and collaborative project delivery.
- Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
Essential
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Valid CSCS Card.
- SMSTS or IOSH qualification.
Desirable
- APM, PRINCE2, or other project management qualification.
- Nuclear industry training (e.g. Triple Bar).
- Additional site qualifications such as:
- Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor
- Appointed Person (Lifting Operations)
- Confined Space Training
