Job Description

Metlen Energy and Metals is seeking a Site Engineer (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical) to support our M Renewables Division across the United Kingdom. This is an exciting role offering the opportunity to work on large-scale Solar and BESS projects and help deliver the UK’s clean energy future.

You will be required to support the Project and Construction Teams in the planning, coordination and execution of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects; ensuring safe delivery, quality assurance, and compliance with engineering standards, programme milestones, and contractual requirements.

Your role will encompass:

  • Support the on-site delivery of Solar PV and BESS projects from construction through commissioning.
  • Coordinate daily site engineering activities across civil, electrical, and mechanical workstreams.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor site progress against programme milestones and support schedule reporting.
  • Ensure works are executed in accordance with design, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical and construction issues.
  • Assist with inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, RFIs, and as-built documentation.
  • Support risk assessments, method statements, and permit processes.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and UK regulations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
