Your new role
Working on the largest highways project in the region involving a new 10 mile dual carriageway, we are looking for a Site Engineer to join the project team. As Site Engineer, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of your allocated works, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with engineers, supervisors, designers, and project stakeholders.
- Reviewing construction drawings and designs, raising technical queries where required.
- Supporting the weekly development of short-term programmes and lookahead schedules.
- Coordinating with site teams to identify and resolve clashes between work activities.
- Ensuring a thorough understanding of design specifications and project requirements.
- Assisting in the delivery of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Identifying, reporting, and closing out non-conformances in a timely manner.
- Maintaining high standards of quality assurance and record keeping.
- Promoting and adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Supporting the safe and sustainable delivery of construction activities across the project.

What you'll need to succeed
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and civil engineering practices.
- Competent with digital engineering and project management tools.
- SMSTS and CSCS Card.
- Experience using engineering survey equipment and setting-out techniques.
- Full UK driving licence.
