Site Engineer

Competitive Salary + Benefits

North West England

Our Client

Our client is a growing project-led construction business operating across the North West. The organisation works in live delivery environments where accurate information, strong site coordination and practical problem solving are essential to maintaining progress and standards. As part of continued investment in its site teams, they are now seeking to appoint a Site Engineer to support day-to-day activity across a busy programme of regional projects.

The Role

The Site Engineer will support day-to-day activity across live construction sites, helping to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard. Working closely with site teams, supervisors, engineers and project leads, the role will support site coordination, maintain accurate records, assist with quality checks and help ensure works are completed in line with drawings, specifications and project requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role will support delivery across the water and wastewater sector, working on United Utilities' Better Rivers framework. Projects will be focused on improving water quality and reducing CSO spills, with works including storm water detention tanks, both below-ground caissons and above-ground glass-coated steel tanks, CSO works, pumping stations, associated MEICA works, deep drainage and tunnelling works.

The position will involve supporting progress monitoring, site records, quality checks, as-built information and wider project documentation. The role may also involve setting out, surveys, levels, measurements and technical checks where required. This is a practical, site-based role suited to someone who is comfortable working close to the work and supporting delivery in a fast-moving construction environment.

Candidate Profile

Candidates will bring experience in a site-based role within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or a comparable project-led environment. A practical and organised approach is essential, alongside the ability to communicate clearly with site teams, manage day-to-day priorities and maintain accurate records, checks and project information.
