Job Title: Site Engineer/ Technician

Location: Birmingham

Hours: Typically 2-4 days per week on site, with occasional UK travel

Overview:

Scientia Talent has partnered with an established technical organisation supporting equipment within highly regulated healthcare environments. They are looking to appoint a reliable and motivated Site-Based Technician to support operations at a key customer site in Birmingham. The role will focus on the routine maintenance, repair and operational support of essential equipment. This opportunity would suit someone practical, dependable and comfortable taking ownership of their work while operating independently at a customer location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical and operational support at the Birmingham customer site
  • Carry out routine checks, planned maintenance, fault-finding and repairs
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and operating safely and efficiently
  • Take ownership of the workshop workload and complete agreed daily tasks to the required standard
  • Maintain accurate service records, documentation and process controls
  • Build professional working relationships with customer staff and colleagues
  • Support occasional travel to other UK sites when required

What We’re Looking For

  • A proactive and dependable person with a strong willingness to learn
  • A practical mindset and an experience or interest in engineering, technical work or hands-on problem-solving
  • The confidence and self-discipline to work independently for much of the time
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow defined processes accurately
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach when representing the business on site
  • A full UK driving licence is preferred due to occasional travel
