Site Engineer, Green Tunnels Team – Wendover, Buckinghamshire


About the Role

You will join EKFB, a joint venture of Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial, and BAM Nuttall, as a Site Engineer supporting Green Tunnels projects in Wendover, Buckinghamshire.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor junior engineers on-site in various construction disciplines (e.g., earthworks, structures).
  • Collaborate with the Sub-Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, and materials efficiently while meeting standards, programme requirements and budget.
  • Work with the setting-out team and ensure oversight of junior engineer performance while resolving technical issues with senior team input.
  • Monitor and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with contractual standards.
  • Assist in producing programmes, progress reports, resource plans, cost forecasts, and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure teams have up-to-date information, tools, and resources to drive productivity.

About You

Essential Qualifications:

  • HNC/Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Working towards/holding institute membership (ICE) – preferred
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience in Site Engineering principles required
  • Specialist heavy structures experience – this role is essential
  • Must possess own transport, due to remote site requirements
  • Full and valid Great Britain driving licence
  • Must hold one of the following CSCS cards:
    • White (Site Operative)
    • White-Yellow (Health & Safety Training)
    • Red – Experienced Craft Worker
    • Black – Manager/Professional Technician
    • Gold – Supervisor
