Site Engineer
Site Engineer – Permanent or Contract Role (Dumfries, Scotland)
FJA are collaborating with a national leader in the Water industry, seeking to enhance their Construction team by recruiting Site Engineers.
This role supports both permanent and contract placements.
Site Location: Dumfries, Scotland

About the Role
You will report directly to the Site Manager, with key responsibilities including:
- Establishing and maintaining quality control measures
- Ensuring compliance with construction regulations (CDM as well as company safety protocols)
- Operating a safe, transparent, and documented site environment
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all works comply with CDM Regulations and company safety standards
- Assist in construction programming, risk assessments, method statements, and action plans
- Conduct setting out for construction activities
- Verify workmanship and measurements against project specifications
- Maintain drawing records, filing systems, and site registers
- Extract quantities from drawings to help with requisitions
- Contribute to completion documentation
- Promote a high-quality finish in alignment with best practice
- Foster strong communication channels
- Lead by example in workplace safety and behaviours

Requirements
Essential
- BTECNational-level or HNC qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction
- Experience in levelling & surveying (including use of total stations and automatic levels)

- SSSTS (Site Safety Supervisor Training Scheme)
- CSCS card (Supervision category)
