Site Estimating Engineer (#Remote)

About the Role
In this role, you will identify and collaborate with our sales teams by visiting customer sites to scope the work and produce site-specific quotations for Municipal/industrial & infrastructure works. You’ll transfer successful quotations to the Service & Rental team for delivery while ensuring adherence to customer contractual requirements and Xylem KPIs.
Essential Duties & Principal Responsibilities
- Identify customer requirements from initial enquiries
- Arrange and attend site visits, observing ESH (Environmental, Health & Safety) regulations
- Perform full site scopes/surveys, documenting all conditions and information necessary to produce quotations
- Work closely with the procurement department, engage with third-party suppliers to secure the best prices
- Produce reliable, high-quality quotations, including pricing for:
- Products and labour
- Documentation, CAD documentation, manuals and certification
- Ensure accurate and compliant documentation is provided with customer quotations
- Adhere to Xylem pricing and commercial policies
- Liaise with technical teams to ensure accurate part identification for customers
- Respond to customer queries or delays regarding quotations
- Transfer approved successful quotations to the regional Service team for full delivery
- Utilise Xylem data by reviewing engineer reports, customer service history, and correspondence
- Maintain accurate customer records in Xylem’s salesforce system
- Meet personal targets and development goals, while contributing to team/department targets

Additional Responsibilities
- Identify process improvements to enhance performance and efficiency
- Support other service regions for scoping and quoting engineering
- Assist sales teams in the tender-to-order process
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Site work experience within the Services sector (qualification preferred)
- Mechanical/electrical pumping experience
- Experience with pumping control solutions (including digital monitoring)
- Commercial awareness and commitment to customer satisfaction
Skills, Abilities & Certifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial acumen and ability to engage effectively with suppliers and customers
- Computer literacy and proficiency with relevant CAD and documentation tools
- Basic understanding of industrial standards and compliance requirements
