At Turmec, we are currently growing our team and are looking for dedicated, skilled mechanical site supervisors to join our expanding site installation team to assist in delivering small and large-scale projects in Ireland, the UK and the wider international market. Successful applicants will enjoy being part of a closely-knit manufacturing team, who pride themselves on delivering the highest quality products to our worldwide customers.

The Mechanical Site Supervisors Duties Will Include

  • Supervising and coordinating on-site activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and specifications
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operation activities on the site
  • Interface on site with OEM Suppliers
  • Responsible for maintaining site documentation
  • Interface on site with all subcontractors relating to each Project
  • Ensure each project follows strict health and safety guidelines including H+S document control and comply with all regulations
  • Manage weekly time sheets of all site men and maintain close correspondence with payroll dept
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to deliver installations on time and within budget
  • Responsible for the management of plant and equipment on site
  • Attending company & client meetings, sharing regular progress reports with the client and Internal management.

Essential Requirements

Be Safety Focused

  • The ideal candidate must be self-efficient, be able to work on their own initiative, but also be a team player.
  • Proven supervision experience in a similar field.
  • Metal Fabrication Experience desirable
  • Compliance with company / site rules & procedures.
  • SSSTS/SMSTS, IOSH training advantage but will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A good understanding of spoken and written English is essential
  • Keen eye and passion for detail and quality
  • Full driver’s licence
  • Experience in the use of safety software and Navisworks/Trimble software an advantage but not essential.
  • Travel required.
