HR Manager – NHS Supply Chain Contract (Daventry)
About the Role
Are you the HR leader who can turn people strategy into a genuine competitive advantage, driving culture, performance, and engagement across a complex organisation? Do you have the ability to influence leaders at all levels, navigate challenging employee relations, and foster an environment where people and performance thrive together?
Here at GXO, we’re looking for a HR Manager to join our NHS Supply Chain contract in Daventry. You’ll be responsible for ensuring all core people processes are designed and applied in a way that underpins GXO’s principles and business values.
Key Responsibilities
- Align people-related policies and processes to ensure legal compliance
- Implement an approved People Plan that supports culture and performance changes
- Manage and motivate the HR team to meet team and individual objectives
- Support the establishment of leadership standards and capability across the business through:
- Leadership development
- Management training
- Succession planning
- Provide proactive support and advice across employee relations and employment law, including:
- Grievance, discipline, dismissal
- TUPE and redundancy

Location & Hours
- Permanent, full-time role in Daventry
- Core hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00
- Some flexibility required, given the nature of logistics operations
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
- Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays
- Company benefits:

Job Requirements
You’ll need:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent progress) with strong HR knowledge and up-to-date employment law expertise
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong planning, organisation, and influence abilities
- Attention to detail, ability to analyse and recommend solutions
- Strong IT skills (e.g., MS Office)
- Deep understanding of:
- HR policies
- Employee relations
- Change management
- HR databases
