Site Lead, Human Resources
HR Manager (NHS Supply Chain Contract) – Daventry

Here at GXO, we’re seeking an HR Manager to join our NHS Supply Chain contract in Daventry. Your role involves ensuring all core people processes are designed and implemented to align with GXO’s principles and business values.
Job Overview
- Location: Daventry
- Contract Type: Full-time, permanent
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 (with some flexibility due to logistics requirements)
Key Responsibilities
People Strategy & Compliance
- Align people-related policies and processes to ensure legal compliance
- Implement an approved People Plan supporting culture and performance changes
- Shape and drive HR strategy to uplift GXO’s core values
HR Leadership & Team Management
- Manage and motivate the HR team to meet team and individual objectives
- Develop and maintain HR department efficiency, scalability, and resourcefulness

Leadership & Development
- Support Leadership standards across all business levels through:
- Leadership development programmes
- Management training
- Succession planning
- Cultivate a cohesive and skilled leadership pipeline
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Provide proactive advice across the full spectrum of employee relations and employment law, including:
- Grievances and disputes
- Discipline and dismissal processes
- TUPE and redundancy procedures
- Foster a positive workforce culture contributing to engagement and retention
Requirements & Qualifications
Key Experience & Skills
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent, currently working towards)
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, with up-to-date employment law expertise
- Stellar communication skills (verbal and written)
- Exceptional planning, organisation, and attention to detail
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across levels of the business
- Advanced IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Deep understanding of:
- HR policies
- Employee relations
- Change management
- HR databases

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
- Annual Leave: 25 days + bank holidays
