Site Maintenance Assistant
Site Maintenance Assistant
The post holder should be a self-motivated and driven individual, passionate about all aspects of gardening. They must be a committed team player, delivering a high-quality and dedicated service while maintaining and improving the grounds and gardens of Trust properties at the acute site site.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
The Site Maintenance Assistant will:
- Provide grounds and garden maintenance, including:
- Upkeep of mowed lawns
- Management of general grassed areas
- Minimal maintenance borders
- Ornamental flowering borders
- Hedge and tree tidying/cutting
- Undertake horticultural duties, such as:
- Seasonal planting, including seed setting
- Caretaking of plants within a greenhouse environment
- Carry out fixtures and fittings repairs, including carpentry tasks:
- New installations and refurbishments
- Problem-solving for optimum solutions
- Handle diverse seasonal work, including:
- Low-level gutter clearing
- Collection of plantroom/roof waste
- Storm drain clearance from leaf buildup
- Ensure planned and routine maintenance of garden mechanised equipment, with knowledge of basic hand/power tools.
