Job Description

This is a multi-site leadership role supporting the Engineering function across the Elmsall Complex. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Monday to Friday engineering support teams, including the Shuttle Service Team, Crane Service Team, Technical Cleaners, Engineering Storeman and Contractors.

The role requires flexibility to work across multiple locations within the complex, responding to changing business priorities and operational demands. You will be responsible for developing and managing planned service schedules, coordinating contractor activities, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, and driving high standards of compliance and performance. As the Engineering function continues to evolve, this role will also develop, providing opportunities to shape processes, influence improvements and support the future direction of the department.

Hours: 42

Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday (8-5) Friday (8-4:30)

The Role:

As a Site Maintenance Manager at our Elmsall Complex warehouses in South Elmsall, you will be at the heart of keeping our fast-paced operations moving smoothly, safely, and effectively. Leading from the front, you will make a real difference by ensuring our automated systems and machinery run at peak performance, directly impacting our ability to deliver for our customers.

You will work closely with your own dedicated team of engineers as well as Operational Managers across the site, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. From day one, NEXT will provide you with the support, site-specific orientation, and resources you need to lead your team successfully and settle into our dynamic logistics network.

What You'll Take On

  • Lead and inspire a team of Maintenance Engineers, managing day-to-day supervision, prioritising workloads, and conducting performance reviews to support their personal and professional development.
  • Oversee site maintenance, coordinating repairs, breakdowns, and planned preventative maintenance for our extensive range of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and cranes.
  • Resolve complex technical issues, analysing and fixing escalated electrical and mechanical faults, and knowing when to seamlessly escalate critical issues to the Engineering Manager.
  • Manage the maintenance stores, ensuring optimum stock levels of spare parts are maintained and re-ordered efficiently to minimise operational downtime.
  • Collaborate across operations, working hand-in-hand with warehouse managers to ensure an optimum, uninterrupted flow of goods throughout the facility.
  • Champion health and safety, acting as a site ambassador to ensure safe working practices and procedures are always the top priority for your team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
