Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys fixing, improving, and maintaining facilities and equipment?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Site & Maintenance Technician to join our team in Witham. This is an ideal role for someone with practical maintenance experience who takes pride in ensuring seamless, safe, and efficient building, equipment, and site operations.
No two days are the same! As our Site & Maintenance Technician, you’ll carry out preventative maintenance, support site improvements, and resolve equipment issues — playing a critical role in minimising downtime while keeping the workspace safe for all employees.
Responsibilities
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Conducting preventative maintenance across all site facilities and equipment.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance issues promptly.
- Performing routine inspections and repairs.
- Maintaining detailed maintenance records, reports, and reports.
- Supporting site improvement projects on a small scale.
- Completing general building maintenance, including:
- Painting
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Basic repair work
- Ensuring site security, including opening and closing operations as required.
- Performing all tasks while strictly adhering to Health & Safety regulations.

Requirements
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in general building or facilities maintenance (industrial or commercial sites preferred).
- Strong hands-on, practical problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work independently but with initiative and communication skills.
- Sound Health & Safety awareness and compliance team.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence (clean dep digital or copy preferred).
Nice-to-Haves (Not Essential)
- CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management) System experience — training provided.
- Experience with heating, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
- Electrician (18th Edition) or basic welding qualifications — training available.
- First Aid at Work qualification — advantageous.
- Forklift or heavy machinery licence — beneficial (though not mandatory).

Working Pattern
- Rotating shifts covering two back-to-back 8.5-hour blocks:
- Week 1: 05:15–14:00 (early shift)
- Week 2: 14:00–22:30 (late shift)
- Occasional overtime on Saturdays may be required to support critical production and site access needs.
