Do you thrive as a hands-on problem solver, passionate about maintaining, repairing, and improving facilities and equipment? We’re seeking a Site & Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in Witham.
No two days are the same in this role. You will undertake planned maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues, collaborate on site improvements, and ensure minimal downtime while upholding Health & Safety standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance across site facilities and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance issues.
- Perform routine inspections and repairs to uphold operational efficiency.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and reports.
- Support small-scale site improvement projects.
- Execute general building maintenance, including:
- Painting
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Basic repairs
- Oversee site opening/closing procedures.
- Align all work with Health & Safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For
Essential
-
Experience in general building or facilities maintenance.

Practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Ability to work independently with initiative.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Thorough knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.

Computer literacy (e.g., CMMS systems desired—training provided).
📜 Full UK Driving Licence – Mandatory.
Desirable (Not Mandatory)
- Experience with CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of heating, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Welding skills.
- 18th Edition Electrical qualification.
- First Aid certification.
- Forklift licence.

Working Pattern

Rotating weekly shifts:
- Week 1: 05:15 – 14:00
- Week 2: 14:00 – 22:30

Occasional Saturday overtime required for seasonal production/site access demands.
