Job Description: Site Manager – Roofing & Externals (Social Housing)

United Infrastructure is a dynamic and rapidly expanding business focused on delivering critical infrastructure projects across the utility and social infrastructure sectors. Our team of highly skilled specialists delivers innovative solutions to complex client challenges.

The company is split into two key business areas:

  • Utility Infrastructure: Specialists in designing, building, and maintaining critical infrastructure, including water, energy (gas), power, and telecoms for the UK’s largest network owners and operators.
  • Social Infrastructure: Specialists revitalising homes and communities through retrofit, refurbishment, and maintenance projects.

About the Role

United Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead planned works within the social housing sector, with a focus on roofing and externals.

The successful candidate will oversee the effective day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, quality delivery, and on-time project completion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all site activities related to roofing and externals in occupied social housing properties.
  • Conduct comprehensive site inductions, daily briefings, and toolbox talks to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Monitor project progress against the programme, proactively resolving on-site issues to prevent delays.
  • Ensure high-quality standards are met for all works, in line with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including reporting and documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and operatives to achieve smooth site operations and project milestones.
  • Ensure all personnel have proper training and access to appropriate PPE and tools.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to track costs, review subcontractor scopes, and approve day works.
  • Uphold excellent customer service standards, supporting community engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • CSCS Managers card
  • Valid driving licence
  • SMSTS certificate
  • First Aid at Work qualification
  • Temporary Works Certificate (desirable)
  • Fire Marshall certificate (desirable)
