Due to continued growth and exciting future plans, Wates Property Services (WPS) is evolving – and we're looking for a talented Site Manager to join our team in Tamworth.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering planned maintenance works within social housing, contributing to high-quality, customer-focused projects that make a real difference to local communities.
Works to include EWI, K&B's, W&Ds
The Role
As a Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of planned works programmes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
You'll lead site teams, manage subcontractors, and act as a key point of contact for residents, ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee delivery of planned maintenance works within occupied social housing
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety (CDM and company standards)
- Monitor programme, quality, and cost performance
- Build strong relationships with clients, residents, and stakeholders
- Drive a customer-first approach, minimising disruption to residents

About You
We're looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and strong people skills:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within social housing planned works (essential)
- Strong knowledge of planned maintenance programmes (e.g. kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, externals, EWI)
- SMSTS (essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage programmes and deliver to deadlines
- Customer-focused with a collaborative approach
