CNX Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected construction contractor for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a major hotel development in Leith, Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project with a secure pipeline of work through to the end of 2026, managing the delivery of a high-quality residential development from the construction phase through to completion.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Managing site operations and subcontractors
  • Ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance at all times
  • Coordinating daily activities to maintain programme milestones
  • Monitoring quality and ensuring all works meet specification
  • Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and inspections
  • Liaising with the project team, consultants and subcontractors
  • Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress
  • Managing site logistics and resolving day-to-day operational issues

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of flatted developments would be highly advantageous
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme
  • Strong focus on health & safety and quality delivery
