Site Manager

Site Manager Pendrich Height Services, Edinburgh City Centre £35,000 | 39 hours per week | 21 days holiday + bank holidays | 12-month Fixed Term Contract

About the Role

Pendrich Height Services is seeking a disciplined and experienced Site Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of all site operations for external fabric repair and refurbishment projects. The role entails managing labour, subcontractors, materials, programmes, health and safety compliance, quality control, and stakeholder engagement—ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget, and to specification.

The Site Manager will act as the principal point of contact on site, ensuring all works comply with CDM 2015 regulations, approved RAMs (Risk Assessment Method Statements), conservation requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site operations management: Ensure smooth, safe, and on-schedule delivery of projects.
  • Team and logistics coordination: Oversee labour, subcontractors, suppliers, and site logistics to meet programme deadlines.
  • Health & safety compliance:
    • Uphold CDM 2015 requirements and approved RAMs.
    • Conduct inductions, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
  • Quality management: Monitor standards, manage defects, and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Stakeholder engagement:
    • Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Technical expertise:
    • Demonstrate proven experience in refurbishment, restoration, or external fabric repair projects.
    • Interpret drawings and technical specifications with accuracy.
  • Leadership and problem-solving: Exhibit strong communication, organisational, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Admin & reporting: Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry reporting systems.

Requirements

Essential

  • SMSTS (Safety Management for Site Supervisors)
  • SSTS (Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme)
  • CSCS Black Card or Manager Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Temporary Works Coordinator qualification
  • First Aid at Work
  • Proven leadership and organisational abilities
  • Proactive, solution-focused approach
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High attention to detail with commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
