Job Title: Site Manager
Location: Harrogate
Working Pattern: Full-Time, Flexible Hours (including occasional evening and weekend cover)
Salary: GBP34,434 - GBP36,363

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Site and Security Management: Acting as the primary keyholder, managing out-of-hours callouts, patrolling grounds, and ensuring complete building security (including oversight of CCTV systems).
- Team Leadership: Line managing internal site and cleaning staff, coordinating workloads, and effectively supervising external contractors.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Carrying out first-line building repairs, general maintenance, and basic grounds maintenance (including seasonal gritting and litter management).
- Health and Safety Compliance: Managing strict testing and logs for COSHH registers, Legionella prevention, fire safety equipment, and acting as the Site Asbestos Management Officer (SAMO).
- Specialised Facilities and Fleet: Monitoring and testing hydrotherapy pool water conditions (where applicable) and overseeing daily safety checks and servicing for academy vehicles.
- Income and Lettings: Supporting out-of-hours school activities and promoting the use of facilities to outside agencies to generate income for the academies.

What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications: 5 x GCSEs at Grade A*-C (or equivalent) including Maths and English. A recognized Health and Safety qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience: A minimum of 12 months in a site manager or similar facilities role, with proven experience supervising staff or managing contract services.
- Skills: Competency in basic building repairs, strong ICT skills, and the organisational ability to prioritise workloads effectively. Experience working within a school or SEN environment is an advantage.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, comfortable working on your own initiative, and possess excellent interpersonal skills to work alongside varied professionals.
- Requirements: Flexibility to meet the varying demands of the post and a willingness to work across different trust sites as required.
Safeguarding and Compliance
Because this role operates within an educational setting, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS disclosure. Applicants must provide a complete employment history to account for any gaps in their CV and possess the valid right to work in the UK.
