Site Manager – New Business Unit (Coventry, DP World)
DP World are looking for a Site Manager for our new business unit based on-site at our highly impressive flagship operation in Coventry. In this role, you will oversee all designated business unit activities, ensuring operational excellence at all levels and strategic alignment with DP World’s objectives and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee site activities and performance, ensuring:
- Customer expectations are met
- Strong relationships are maintained
- Demand planning is effectively managed
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement across operations to enhance service quality and efficiency
- Own site financial performance, including:
- Budget setting
- Periodic reviews
- Operational efficiency initiatives
- Exception management of unplanned costs
- Collaborate with internal teams to:
- Close commercial tasks
- Support business renewals
- Deliver on financial commitments
- Lead and develop large, diverse teams to meet current and future customer demand through:
- Mentoring
- Succession planning
- Engagement initiatives
- Clear communication
- Play a leading role in:
- Customer-driven scope changes
- New opportunities identification
- Growth potential within existing operations
- Support onboarding and successful launch of new business, collaborating with stakeholders to maintain a competitive approach
- Manage all facility-related activities, ensuring alignment with:
- Regional and internal teams on change requests
- Customer events
- Business initiatives
- Fulfil Company objectives across:
- Safety
- Quality
- Security
- Customs
- Delivery

What You Will Bring
- Proven successful experience in third-party logistics at Senior Management level, ideally in an e-commerce or technology-focused operation (although not essential)
- High-level expertise in:
- Stabilising and improving operational delivery
- Launching new business, product, or site initiatives
- Strong flexibility, ability to:
- Prioritise and manage changing demands effectively
- Preferable background in logistics within the e-commerce/Technology sector
- Strong leadership qualities and team development skills
- Exceptional customer account management skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced organisation
