Site Manager | Building Safety & Decarbonisation
Location: Ashford Kent

As our Building Safety & Decarbonisation division continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the safe and successful delivery of retrofit and decarbonisation projects, ensuring exceptional standards of quality, compliance, and customer service throughout.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Site Manager, you'll take day-to-day responsibility for managing retrofit and decarbonisation projects on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, quality, and compliance requirements.
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you'll coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers while maintaining excellent relationships with residents, clients, and stakeholders.
- You'll play a key role in ensuring projects meet PAS 2030/2035 standards, Building Regulations, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from site mobilisation through to completion, handover, and final snagging.
- Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with approved RAMS and company procedures.
- Monitor progress, quality, productivity, and programme performance across multiple workstreams.
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure works comply with PAS 2030/2035, TrustMark, Building Regulations, and client specifications.
- Maintain comprehensive site documentation including daily diaries, inductions, toolbox talks, permits, QA records, and photographic evidence.
- Identify and escalate programme, quality, or commercial risks at the earliest opportunity.
- Support resident engagement by ensuring clear communication, safe working practices, and minimal disruption.
- Attend client meetings, site inspections, and audits, providing accurate progress updates.
- Ensure materials are stored, handled, and installed in accordance with manufacturer guidance.
- Work closely with the commercial team to support valuations, variations, and project completion.
- Promote a positive site culture focused on safety, professionalism, and right-first-time delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and sharing best practice across the business.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in refurbishment, retrofit, or decarbonisation projects who enjoys managing people, solving problems, and delivering quality outcomes.
- You'll have excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach to Health & Safety, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service throughout every stage of the project.
- You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within refurbishment, retrofit, planned maintenance, or decarbonisation projects.
- Experience delivering projects within occupied residential properties or live environments.
- Strong understanding of retrofit measures including insulation, roofing, ventilation, windows, heating systems, and renewable technologies.
- Good working knowledge of PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 delivery requirements.
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on site.
- Excellent quality assurance and site documentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
- The ability to identify issues early and implement practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
