Our client, a well-established construction contractor, is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of an exciting new build student accommodation development in Edinburgh.

The Project

The role will be based on a new build student accommodation block. The development will utilise off-site manufactured POD construction.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

  • Managing site operations from commencement through to completion.
  • Coordinating subcontractors and site activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements.
  • Monitoring progress against the construction programme.
  • Producing accurate site reports and maintaining project documentation.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality throughout the build.
  • Liaising with the client, consultants and the wider project team.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience managing new build construction projects.
  • Experience of POD or modular construction would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Experience producing site reports and maintaining accurate project records.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage programmes and drive projects forward.
