Salary: Competitive + Package

A well-established regional main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its growing operational team, delivering a range of education and public sector construction projects across South Wales.

With a strong reputation for quality, repeat business, and collaborative working, the company delivers projects typically ranging from £500k to £5m in value, including schools, colleges, refurbishment schemes, extensions, and new build developments.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will work closely with the Contracts Manager, design teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery from start through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing site operations and coordinating subcontractors
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
  • Maintaining programme and reporting progress to senior management
  • Managing quality assurance and snagging processes
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Monitoring labour, plant, and material resources
  • Producing site reports and maintaining project documentation
  • Leading site teams to achieve project objectives

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor
  • Experience delivering projects valued up to £5m
  • Education, healthcare, public sector, or commercial project experience desirable
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site activities
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid at Work
  • CSCS Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
