Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of planned maintenance and energy-efficiency programmes, WPS is looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager to join our Planned Works team in the Walsall area.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a range of social housing improvement works, including:
- Roofing replacement programmes
- Retrofit and decarbonisation projects
- External Wall Insulation (EWI)
- PAS 2035-compliant works
- Energy efficiency upgrades
- Planned refurbishment programmes
Working closely with our social housing clients, residents, subcontractors and operational teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations across planned maintenance and retrofit schemes.
- Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, budget, quality and compliance requirements.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour on site.
- Maintain exceptional standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Conduct site inspections, progress reviews and quality audits.
- Produce weekly progress reports and update project documentation.
- Work collaboratively with Commercial, Resident Liaison and Operational teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, residents and stakeholders.
- Ensure successful project handover and completion.

What We're Looking For
We are keen to hear from Site Managers who have a proven track record of delivering planned maintenance works within the social housing sector.
Essential
- Previous experience as a Site Manager within social housing planned works.
- Strong knowledge of roofing programmes and external refurbishment projects.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple workstreams.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- SMSTS qualification.
- CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work.
Highly Desirable
- Experience delivering retrofit or decarbonisation programmes.
- Knowledge of PAS 2035 principles.
- Experience with EWI, insulation, roofing, solar PV or SHDF/Warm Homes funded projects.
- Social housing resident-facing experience.
