Based at Heanor
Ensure that all team members provide the necessary services and support that the Project Managers require in order that Cullum can deliver compliant projects on time, to budget, in a way that satisfies our customers whilst ensuring the sustainability and growth of the business.
- To provide control and coordination of the designated site, resource & personnel.
- Forward planning of ‘Site’ installation activities, labour, materials, equipment and contracted resource in conjunction with the Installations Management.
- To Supervise and provide advice and guidance to the ‘Site’ installations team.
- To provide interpretation of, and compliance with customer and company specifications, plans and working instructions ensuring site and product compliance with quality, Health Safety & Environmental standards and current legislations.
- To provide a site interface between Cullum, Customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors with respect to ‘Installation’ plans and progress. Ensuring plans yield least time and costs to meet customer and company requirements and specifications.
- Oversee the activities of the designated ‘Site’ installation team providing guidance, control and structure to the decision processes.
- Ensure the resources available on site are managed to achieve the least cost option to satisfy project objectives.
- To oversee the ‘Site’ installation phase of projects, working closely and liaising with site personnel, customer, suppliers, sub-contractors and Cullum associated departments.
- Ensure ‘Site’ installation activities are managed in a manner that provides budgetary control of site resources in order to increase the department’s performance in line with company objectives.
- Assist with the preparation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Crane plans, Health Safety & Environmental documents, etc to ensure compliance with current regulations and legislations.
- Assist in site audits, inspections, surveys, pre-site visits and meetings for Installation aspects of all projects on behalf of Cullum.
- Liaise with other departments as required at concept, design and manufacturing stages to ensure optimum safety and least cost for prospective and planned work whilst working within current regulations, legislations, customer’s and Cullum specifications.
- Lead by example on matters of Health Safety & Environmental, welfare and codes of conduct.
- Identify and implement areas of improvement for Site working.
- Work under his / her, own initiative providing guidance and supervision of ‘Site’ personnel.
- Work to attain optimum performance within the Installations Department and associated areas of ‘Site’ responsibility.
- Responsible for the control of designated site resource including personnel welfare, Health & Safety and discipline on assigned projects.
- Maximise the use of Cullum management control and IT systems to ensure accurate and auditable project control.
- Reporting of ‘designated site’ activities, progress, issues and concerns inclusive of a daily log.
- Ensure that the Installations Manager/Engineers are informed of major developments and/or problems associated with assigned projects, supply chain and customers. Providing permanent monitors and records of relevant issues.

- Periodic audits of worksites, ensuring compliance with Cullum, Customer, and HSE process, in particular CDM and Permit control.
- Promote and represent Cullum when required, setting a good personal example at all times.
- Take all possible and reasonable steps to create a harmonious working environment using effective communication and team working techniques.
- Be aware of, and adhere to Cullum policies and procedures, including but not limited to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, the Health, Safety, Welfare, Environmental & Quality policies and procedures and Employee Handbook.
- Undertake duties as may be required within capabilities consistent with the Terms and Conditions of employment and responsibilities in accordance with UK and EC Laws.
- Undertake tasks and responsibilities assigned by line manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Recognised Engineering trade qualification
- Minimum GCSE Grade 5 or above in Maths and English
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of two years site/installations experience.
- Understanding and application of ‘site’ Health Safety & Environmental requirements.
- Good organisation and planning skills
- Proficient communication and administrative skills with an ability to interact with people at all levels.
Desirable
- Previous understanding of CDM regulations
- Previous experience as Site Supervisor/Manager
- Project planning/ reporting/management skills
