This role is based on our Keystone Project, University of Glasgow.
The Fit Out Site Manager is responsible for the efficient and safe installation of the Fit Out to a good level of quality in conjunction with the Fit Out package manager and senior management team, through the co-ordination of all trades on the project, safe methods, quality and program requirements. The role provides a link between design, building trades and sub-contracts to ensure project objectives are met. Managing the safe delivery of the project including reviewing/ updating of method statements and risk assessments. Responsible for monitoring quality control on site and for managing the on-site activities of the quality plan.

- Assist Project Management throughout the value management process to maximise the financial benefit of the installation.
- Develop the subcontractor Fit Out Installation team to work with Multiplex to drive safety & Quality.
- Report and monitor any changes from approved drawings & engineering design undertaken by the contractor through site activities.
- Assist Quantity Surveyors, Commercial/Procurement Managers to measure installed work.
- Keeping of records for programme, plant, and all site activities.
- Maintain awareness of contractual obligations of both the head contract and sub contract.
- Act as a conduit of communicating relevant information as appropriate to, site supervisors, construction workers and sub-contractors.
- Monitor and review the performance of direct reports and provide leadership, mentoring and coaching.
- Ensure all direct reports are aware of the project's goals and objectives, and the connection of their role to these goals and objectives.
- Drive performance by setting standards, objectives and holding people accountable for meeting them.
- Ensure that resources are utilised in an effective manner which enable direct reports to meet standards and deliver objectives.
- Assist the management team to create and implement the Project Management Plan.
- Co-ordinate the activities of design management and provide a link between the design and construction to ensure the build ability of a design.

What We Look For In You
Skills and knowledge of the Fit Out construction industry
- Previous experience managing the environment, health & safety (EHS) requirements of a project similar in size and scale to OBR.
- Demonstrate personal leadership, integrity and creativity on technical cutting edge projects.
- EHS training to demonstrate competency to provide expert support and guidance to the project team in order to take responsibility for the key aspects of this post.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS Min Gold card – Working towards black managers Card.
