The Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead site operations across multiple projects. This is a senior operational role with full responsibility for site delivery, safety, quality, programme and team leadership. You will work closely with Project Managers, planners, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site strategy, planning and mobilisation including logistics, sequencing and risk identification.
- Provide strong leadership to site teams, supervisors and subcontractors.
- Champion health, safety and environmental compliance, including high risk permits and audits.
- Oversee quality assurance, RAMS, ITPs and technical compliance.
- Manage programme delivery including lookahead planning, labour forecasting and sequencing.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and client communication. Proactively manage risk, resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

Site and Compliance Duties
- Prepare and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Approve subcontractor RAMS and manage permit systems including LOA, PPWP, LSS, ASWP, Hot Works, Confined Space and Excavation.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and routine inspections.
- Maintain daily site diaries, progress photos and allocation sheets.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum five years’ experience in a senior site management role.
- Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
- Excellent knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and programmes.
- Highly organised with strong reporting and documentation capability.
- Experience writing own RAMS.
IT Skills
- Competent in project scheduling tools: Microsoft Project.
- Strong Excel capabilities (pivot tables, look-ahead schedules).
- Experienced in digital documentation workflows using SharePoint, OneDrive, and cloud-based drawing management.
- Effective with mobile/tablet field tools for inspections, daily reports, and digital plan review.
- Proficient with communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
- Basic IT troubleshooting for site hardware, connectivity, and device configuration.

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 6.
- CIBT Accredited SMSTS (5-day course).
- CSCS.
- First Aid at Work.
- Clean UK driving licence.
