Site Manager – Perth (UK)

We’re now seeking a Site Manager who shares our passion for quality, safety, and sustainable environmental practices.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for leading and overseeing site operations, ensuring projects are executed on time, to the highest safety and quality standards, while managing teams, subcontractors, and resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations across multiple projects, maintaining accurate records (diaries, inductions, compliance logs).
- Enforce strict H&S standards, overseeing:
- Risk assessments
- COSHH evaluations
- Fire safety strategies
- Strategic permits and scaffold/material inspections
- Coordinate logistics—labour, subcontractors, plant, and equipment—ensuring efficient resource allocation, security, and timely returns.
- Track project timelines, identifying risks and driving recovery actions while supporting commercial reporting (valuations, variations, material tracking).
- Uphold quality management, including:
- Setting standards
- Implementing hold points, sample panels, and snagging processes
- Overseeing final sign-off requirements
- Manage supply chain performance, ensuring competency (including NICEIC certifications), and addressing non-conformities.
- Enforce compliance with PPE requirements, statutory signage, and SESUK’s Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies.
- Lead engagement with subcontractors, plan logistics, maintain site files, and assist in developing O&M (Operations & Maintenance) manuals and H&S files.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, residents, senior managers, and RLO/customer service teams.
- Resolve site issues professionally, handling queries, complaints, and performance concerns.
- Mentor apprentices and trainees, reflecting SESUK’s positive brand in all interactions.
- Maintain records (weekly timesheets) and oversee company vehicles/equipment—with optional support for customer forums or presentations.

Essential Skills & Experience
✅ Proven site management or contract management experience in a similar role ✅ IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS certification ✅ Leadership skills to motivate and manage site teams and subcontractors ✅ Ability to formulate recovery plans and monitor project progress ✅ Strong performance management of trades and subcontractors against quality, safety & programme targets ✅ Up-to-date knowledge of legislation, industry standards & technological advancements ✅ CSCS Card and First Aid Certificate ✅ Proficiency in digital tools for programming, reporting, and record-keeping
