Roles of this type typically sit at the heart of site operations, working across multiple teams — from trades and subcontractors to project managers, engineers, and clients — to keep delivery moving. You could be managing anything from groundworks through to final handover, with responsibility for health and safety compliance, resource planning, budget control, and quality standards.

Typical Role Overview

  • Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester; Birmingham, West Midlands; Leeds, West Yorkshire; or nationwide UK coverage
  • Type: Permanent or Contract
  • Full-time
  • Day Rate: £250–280 per day or £350–380 per day, dependent on experience and contract type

  • Engineering

What You Would Do

  • Managing day-to-day site operations, from programme delivery through to health and safety compliance
  • Coordinating trades, subcontractors, and teams to keep the schedule on track
  • Maintaining site safety standards, incident reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations (SMSTS, First Aid, HV where applicable)
  • Managing site budgets, resources, and labour productivity
  • Liaising with clients, project managers, engineers, and quality assurance teams
  • Ensuring quality standards and resolving on-site issues quickly
  • Reporting on progress, risks, and site performance to senior management

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
