Site Manager - Construction Specialised Fit-Out & Refurbishment (London)
About the Role
Our client, a specialist fit-out, design & build, and refurbishment contractor serving a wide array of clients across the UK, is seeking an experienced Site Manager for their upcoming summer project based in Central London.
The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership in strip-out and fit-out projects, clear health & safety expertise, and the ability to manage diverse trades effectively.
There is no fixed hourly rate—compensation is based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of a large-scale fit-out/ refurbishment project throughout its lifecycle
- Coordinate and manage multiple trades (e.g., carpenters, dry liners, handymen, painters, labourers)
- Develop and implement a robust health & safety plan and ensure compliance
- Lead a team through program management (scheduling, progress tracking, risk assessment)
- Maintain strong communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site teams
- Troubleshoot challenges and ensure the project stays on budget, schedule, and quality standards

Essential Requirements
- CSCS management qualification (valid)
- SMSTS certification (valid)
- First Aid at Work certificate (valid)
- Direct project management experience on strip-out and fit-out projects required
- Proven ability to manage diverse trades efficiently
- Strong programme management skills
- Commitment to health & safety policy enforcement
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- Working references are mandatory
