About the Role
Daniel Owen are recruiting a Site Manager to join their trusted principal contractor delivering high-quality kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes in the social housing sector. The company collaborates with local authorities, housing associations, and asset management providers to enhance homes and communities through exceptional service, craftsmanship, and customer care.
With continued expansion and new contract wins, they seek an experienced and proactive Site Manager to lead and efficiently coordinate kitchen and bathroom installation projects across occupied and void housing.
Position Breakdown
Posting: Site Manager Location: South Shropshire Salary: £43,000 per annum + Van + package Contract: Permanent Availability: Immediate start
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day site operations, ensuring all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality, adhering to client specifications and Company Policies. You will serve as the primary liaison between clients, residents, subcontractors, and internal teams, facilitating transparent communication and seamless project execution from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen and bathroom installation projects in occupied and void social housing properties.
- Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and trades to deliver programmes:
- On time
- Within budget
- To specification
- Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality compliance, aligning with statutory and company procedures.
- Conduct regular:
- Site inspections
- Toolbox talks
- Progress meetings
- Monitor performance and maintain productivity.
- Resource optimisation:
- Labour
- Materials
- Plant
- Achieve cost efficiency and meet programme targets
- Compile and manage site documentation, including:
- Risk assessments
- Method statements (RAMS)
- Daily site diaries
- Progress reports
- Proactively identify and resolve site issues, escalating as needed to preserve programme continuity.

Experience & Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Site Manager within social housing refurbishment projects.
- Strong technical understanding of:
- Building trades
- Materials
- Installation processes (specifically for kitchens and bathrooms)
- Robust organisational and problem-solving abilities, with:
- A methodical approach
- Professional site management accountability
- Up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and hands-on experience ensuring compliance on live sites.
- Competent IT skills, including proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office
- Project management software
- Digital reporting systems
Essential Qualifications / Certifications
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – Essential
- CSCS Card – Essential
- First Aid at Work certification – Essential
- Asbestos Awareness accreditation – Essential
- Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence – Essential
