Site Manager - Environment
Location: Durham / Northumbrian Water Region

About the Role
We are looking for a Site Manager to join our team working on the Northumbrian Water Frameworks, delivering projects across clean and waste water treatment sites.
This is a key operational role, requiring flexibility, strong leadership, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
As Site Manager, you will report to the Senior Site Manager and have the following responsibilities:
- Manage Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil site installation schemes across water and wastewater treatment sites.
- Lead daily site operations while ensuring:
- Compliance with SHE legislation.
- Meet contractual timescales.
- High-quality specification adherence.
- Conduct regular toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings.
- Ensure accurate documentation, including Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and testing records.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and in-house teams to coordinate delivery and logistics.
- Monitor site costs, contribute to progress reports, and attend project meetings.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Industry-relevant ONC / City & Guilds / NVQ qualification.
- Site-based experience in infrastructure / water-related projects.
- SMSTS, IOSH or CITB 5-Day Site Safety certification.
- Relevant CSCS card, First Aid training, and EUSR accreditation.

- Experience in the water and / or sewage sectors, ideally on active construction sites.
- Organised and professional approach to work.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and build relationships.
