Location: Durham / Northumbrian Water Region

About the Role

We are looking for a Site Manager to join our team working on the Northumbrian Water Frameworks, delivering projects across clean and waste water treatment sites.

This is a key operational role, requiring flexibility, strong leadership, and attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities

As Site Manager, you will report to the Senior Site Manager and have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil site installation schemes across water and wastewater treatment sites.
  • Lead daily site operations while ensuring:
    • Compliance with SHE legislation.
    • Meet contractual timescales.
    • High-quality specification adherence.
  • Conduct regular toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, including Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and testing records.
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and in-house teams to coordinate delivery and logistics.
  • Monitor site costs, contribute to progress reports, and attend project meetings.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Industry-relevant ONC / City & Guilds / NVQ qualification.
  • Site-based experience in infrastructure / water-related projects.
  • SMSTS, IOSH or CITB 5-Day Site Safety certification.
  • Relevant CSCS card, First Aid training, and EUSR accreditation.

  • Experience in the water and / or sewage sectors, ideally on active construction sites.
  • Organised and professional approach to work.
