Site Manager

Site Manager – Permanent Role (Stoke & Chester)

About the Role

Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Site Manager to work within the Sanctuary Housing contract in Stoke and Chester, delivering Retrofit and Capital Works refurbishment programmes. This is a permanent position with core working days from Monday to Friday.


The Customer

This role will involve:

  • Managing and delivering Retrofit and Construction works, including:
    • External Wall Insulation (EWI)
    • Cladding
    • Roofing
    • Doors/windows

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, effective, and timely delivery of retrofit/construction and refurbishment projects
  • Lead and manage a team of direct and sub-contracted Construction/Trades staff
    • Report to the Project Manager, with operational Site Management responsibility
  • Oversee all retrofit and construction works under Projects division
  • Health & Safety compliance:
    • Enforce Company Health & Safety Policies and monitor adherence
    • Work closely with H&S Managers and Advisors
    • Maintain up-to-date Health & Safety records on request
  • Ensure Environmental and Waste Management Policies are followed
  • Perform full inductions for all staff, subcontractors, and visitors
  • Customer Satisfaction Policy compliance:
    • Guarantee adherence to specification and company-wide policies
  • Manage directly employed personnel:
    • Proactively organise daily site work
    • Provide training, coaching, appraisal, and support
    • Maintain site presentation standards
    • Manage efficient use of resources and continuous improvement

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience in managing construction projects, including high/low-rise properties
  • Experience in managing direct and subcontracted construction/refurbishment staff
  • Minimum Level 4 qualifications (NVQ4, HNC, or equivalent experience)
  • SMSTS certification
  • Scaffold inspection qualification
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Asbestos awareness training (Duty to Manage desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication skills
